The British School in Colombo is a co-educational day school for pupils aged between 2½ to 18 years. We are housed in a modern, purpose-built school building in the heart of the vibrant capital city. The building houses some of the finest resources for arts and sports in the city of Colombo.

The School uses the English National Curriculum as the basis of its curriculum. In the secondary school, we offer International GCSE examinations (IGCSE) at the end of Year 11 (when pupils are 16 years). In our provision in the Sixth Form we are unique in Sri Lanka, offering both A Level Examination courses as well as the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. The teaching body at The British School comprises a stimulating mix of local and expatriate practitioners who bring a range of experience to the classroom.
